I would appreciate if can have explained to me all the differences Commander®, Gore-Tex®, Ultrex®, Super Microft®, Polartec®. And especially the difference between Polartec® 200 and Polartec® 300.
Before placing an order, I would like to know if it is possible to get swatches of the different fabrics, patterned webbings and braids you have? These would be helpful for me and my numerous outfitter friends who are always looking for new stuff to try in the "extreme"! We would be happy to send you some swatches of our fabulous fabrics and braids. We charge $2.00 per set for all the colours or designs of one particular fabric. For example if you needed to see the colours of Polartec® 200, Polartec® 300 and Commander® we would charge you $6.00 plus shipping and handling. Our telephone 403-252-3338, order line 1-888-231-4753, and fax 403-253-0540 run 24 hours a day, so pick a time that is convenient (and cheap) for you. I am interested in finding out more about fleece and garments for purchasing. Does your company just sell fabric or does it also sell finished goods? does it only sell the Malden Mills® brand Polar fleece? What other fabrics does your company sell? Care and feeding of your Polartec® Fleece - I have a Polartec® jacket and washing instructions state "powder detergents only" and I'm curious as to why. Could I actually damage the garment by using liquid detergent? That powdered stuff tends to clump in the clothes sometimes. The instructions also say "no bleach or fabric softeners"; does this include the fabric softener dryer sheets? Washing Polartec® is actually really simple. Rule number one is "Do not wash it with towels!!!!!!" My husband thought this would be fine until he spent an hour picking lint off of my daughters tights. I personally use a weee bit of powdered detergent in my load but I make sure it is well dissolved before I stick the clothes in. I don't see a problems with using A VERY SMALL amount of liquid soap in your machine. DO NOT use fabric softeners in your washer it will stain your fleece in spots (like an oil stain) and will mess-up the wicking and water resisting properties in the fleece. I have used a small corner of a fabric softener sheet with some success. Hang-dry works too, but dryers are quicker and safe as long as they have temperature control! If the drier is too hot, it may melt the fleece as some of our customers with old dryers have found! Good luck and enjoy your new fleece. Please note that because of its great wicking ability (taking sweat and other liquids away from you so that they can evaporate) you really do not need to wash your fleece very often. |
